The goal of #EndAllNoKnocks is to ban the practice of “No Knock” warrants and create comprehensive restrictions for all types of search warrants to prevent police from breaking into homes, harming people, including officers themselves, and profiting at the cost of our community’s safety.

Ban No-Knock Warrants
  1. Ban "No Knock" warrants except in extreme circumstances such as: investigating or pursuing suspected offenders that involve murder, an active-shooter, hostage taking, kidnapping, terrorism, human trafficking or barricaded suspect with a violent history.
  2. Make sure the No Knock warrant application proves the search can not be executed in the day time, as a knock and announce warrant, before it is approved.
Restrict all other Warrant Executions
  1. Create a more thorough warrant application process.
  2. Require all officers to be in uniform.
  3. Require an audible announcement and pronounced knocking.
  4. Wait a minimum of 30 seconds for compliance.
  5. Restriction the use of flash-bang and military-style devices.
  6. Eliminate night-time raids.
Increase Police Accountability

  1. Close loopholes that allow officers to enter unannounced and with force (aka re-define “exigent circumstances”).
  2. Restrict the practice of keeping any property or cash seized (aka civil asset forfeiture).
  3. Ensure any evidence seized in violation of these restrictions can not be used in any prosecution.
  4. Require all officers to wear body cams.
  5. Pay restitution for destroyed property.
  6. Create consequences for officers who violate warrant requirements.
  7. Store and submit all footage & documentation of warrant execution, to an Independent Oversight Committee for bi-annual review.
